October is National Safe Work Month – a time for organisations to focus on work, health and safety, and encourage workplace discussions around these issues.

It’s also a time when many workplaces take the opportunity to expose employees to broader ideas around health and safety, and draw on external expertise to deliver information they might not otherwise seek out.

With an increase in the recognition of the important role physical activity has to play in staff wellbeing and productivity levels, many organisations are encouraging, and providing the facilities for, active commuting options.

If your workplace is participating in Safe Work Month, consider getting Bike SA along to have a chat. Our ‘Be Safe Be Seen’ Workplace presentations are delivered in partnership with the Motor Accident Commission, and cover best-practice strategies for safer commuting.

They’re 30 minutes, FREE and each attendee receives a safety gift pack. They’re also highly relevant to drivers – not just cyclists – and deliver the findings of SA research into cycling crashes.
