MTB Thingy

Upgraded mountain bike trails are open this weekend in Cudlee Creek.  Trails with Max Flow…

This weekend, the Human Projectiles MTB Club and Destination Trails open Ant Logic Trail at Fox Creek (Cudlee Creek Forest) after an extensive overhaul and up grade of the corners, jumps and other features along the trail, designed to maximise flow and the long term ecological sustainability of the trail.

This work, along with the up grades to the Dirty Little Secrets Trail, concludes the Crowd Funding Project that was developed my the Human Projectiles earlier in the year. It seems that this project may well be the largest Crowd Funded Trail Project in Australian History!
The process has been a huge success and the weather has been very kind. It certainly goes to show what a group of keen riders can achieve when they put there heads together and the MTB community get behind them. We hope there can be more of these kinds of trail programmes in the near future.
Next, Destination Trails will be working with Bike SA, ForestrySA and the Office of Rec and Sport to build a 3.5km ascending trail from the end of Dirty Little Secrets, to take riders on a pleasant climb out of the valley. The new climb has been dubeed :Climbing Ivy”. With the implementation of this trail, we see the completion of the “Bowmaniac Loop”.
