Some great news in from Mountain Biking Australia with Adelaide’s Mount Lofty Ranges being chosen to host Mountain Bike Australia’s Gravity Enduro National Championships for the next three years.
The Gravity Enduro format involves riders competing over a weekend, with timed descents and untimed climb (or transition) stages. Gravity Enduro is a rapidly-growing discipline in mountain biking, closely reflecting the sort of riding many people undertake recreationally.
This year’s event will take place on the weekend of October 15-16.
Gravity Enduro is an extremely popular MTB discipline and Adelaide has long standing history of strong MTB gravity events and riders, including the likes of current riders Troy Brosnan and Connor Fearon. The combination of such great trails and this exciting event format, can only mean a terrific MTB spectacular for Adelaide.”
This is a great outcome for a discipline that is indeed gaining momentum in SA and Bike SA is keen to see how we can support and broaden the appeal and general participation around the event.
And to get you excited about Mountain Biking in South Australia, (we just can’t help ourselves), here’s a little bit of drone footage from our annual event known as The Dirty Weekend.
