We had a chat to the guy behind the Amy’s Ride SA jersey design.

Amy’s Ride SA is all about celebrating our wonderful cycling community. All the proceeds from the event help Bicycle SA improve cycling conditions and without your support, we wouldn’t be able to continue our important work.
This year’s jersey design was done pro-bono by local graphic designer Martin Williams, who expressed an interest in helping us out with a design. Martin is a keen recreational cyclist and has participated in Amy’s Ride SA in previous years. We asked him a few questions about his riding style and his inspiration for this year’s jersey design.
So Martin, what bike do you ride?
Martin: A Kuota Kharma, an Italian roadie.
And your style of riding?
Martin: Roadie recreational. And also commuter. I ride 20km to come to work and 25km to go home.
Favourite part about cycling in Adelaide?
Martin: The hills and country areas.
Where do you normally ride?
Martin: My usual stomping ground is the back of Coromandel, Clarendon & McLaren Vale
How did you come up with the jersey design this year?
Martin: I wanted to do something very eye catching using the Amy Gillett brand colours. I’m a huge fan of the whole Amy Gillett Concept. I just wanted to make it stand out. I hope it will be worn with pride.
And you’ll be riding Amy’s Ride SA this year?
Martin: I rode 100km in 2014. This year I’m very tempted by the 120… I’m thinking about it. But I’ll definitely ride the 100 again this year.
