The Dirty Weekend was a spectacular success with well over 400 riders taking part.

What a weekend.

Despite some very challenging climatic conditions, the 2016 Dirty Weekend turned out to be our best yet with well over 400 participants hitting the trails around Thomas Hill in the Cudlee Creek Forest.

The weather gods certainly served up a full platter of elements including bright sunshine, blustery winds, swirling dust, intermittent rain and even a spot of hail. None of this managed to curb the enthusiasm and determination of those hardy riders who pushed on through the night and made it through to the finale when calm, clear, blue skies heralded celebration time to all the winners.

The Winners

The Dirty Weekend isn’t about winning, but wow, those that finished sure did a good job.

Big congratulations to Kevin Pullen who backed up last year’s win in the Exposure Lights 24hr Solo Male category with another stellar performance, clocking up 29 laps of the track and coming in ahead of Matthew Ackland and Chris Crocker.

Megan Algate put in a Stirling effort to “bring home the gold” in the Exposure Lights Sole Female category with 16 laps ahead of Nicole Chaffey and Silvia Schweininger.

Derek Ragless came up trumps in the 12hr Solo Male Category with 16 laps.

Travis Frisby cranked out 10 laps to finish first in the Roof Rack City 6hr Solo Male category whilst Janyce Crawford topped the podium in the Roof Rack City 6hr Solo Female category with 6 laps.

Team ROCKIN’ FROCKS ON ROCKS came first in their division, and looked the best on the track too.

Congratulations to all podium finishers and well done to all participants. You can view all the final results here and some happy snaps of winners here.
