Kerry McComish, author of Spinning Tales From Downunder, joined us on the 2011 Outback Odyssey. In her blog, she writes about how she prepared for the 900KM Mawson Trail ride by joining a gym and how she tackled her first ever MTB Tour. Read Kerrys blog

David Robinson rode the event in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. He can't seem to enough of the Mawson Trail. He has written three great articles on this ride.

My husband and I were participants on the recent Outback odyssey. We were both particularly impressed by the organisation and management of the event, so much so that we will certainly participate in other Bike SA organised events in the future. We also intend to recommend the ride to other cycling friends.

I think having the local communities cooking for us was such a wonderful thing to happen, it brings income to the community for starters, but you feel a sense of belonging (even if only for an overnight/rest day period). Russell, Maureen and Ray are stars, they are so professional, so in tuned to what needs to be done to make it all happen, and the volunteers - what can I say, they are all top people dedicated to this wonderful sport of cycling. We always felt safe and secure in knowing that you have such a dedicated professional crew backing everything up.
