Our inaugural Flinders Escape ride was a great success.
We were blessed with fabulous weather and we thank all the communities in the Flinders Ranges for the warm welcome extended to us during our visit.
It was also great to see so many familiar faces back riding with us again and welcome many who were riding with us for the first time.

Covid-19 Protocols and Vaccination Policy

COVID-19 Protocols
Well, times have certainly changed in how we are able to manage things these days and Flinders Escape is no exception. We are working hard to ensure that we meet all the Covid-19 requirements relevant to our event. Many restrictions have been eased here in South Australia with authorities reviewing them on a regular basis. Whilst we expect there to be further easing of restrictions in the coming weeks there will be still be a few changes in the way we go about our daily routine.

Vaccination Policy
All participants of Flinders Escape are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
. Individuals who are not able to provide valid proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or an official medical exemption, will be not be able to participate. We encourage all participants who become eligible for a booster dose to receive theirs as soon as possible.
Participants with an official medical exemption will need to show their certificate of exemption and provide a recent negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours prior to the start of Flinders Escape. Please speak to your doctor if you have any questions at all regarding vaccinations or exemptions.

At check-in on Day 1, you will need to show proof of your vaccination with your COVID-19 digital certificate or Immunisation history statement or provide valid proof of Medical Exemption. For more information about proof of vaccinations visit https://www.coronavirus.sa.gov.au/vaccination/proof-of-covid-19-vaccination

Most states now have some form of COVID-Safe Check-in for contact tracing in the form of a QR code that you scan with your smart phone. South Australian laws have recently changed and you are no longer required to Check-in at at defined public activity such as business, shop, pub, restaurant, museum, etc, that you visit during your Flinders Escape journey. However,  you are required to Check in at Public and Private hospitals, Disability care facilities, and Residential Aged Care Facilities.

Prior to your arrival in South Australia we recommend that you download the mySA Gov app which will make it easy for you to “check-in” at any location in South Australia.
For more information visit  https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/restrictions-and-responsibilities/covid-safe-check-in

COVID-SAfe Check-in
The mySA GOV app has a new  feature that enables QR code scanning for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. You don’t need to log in, create an account or have South Australian identity documents to use check-in.   Download from the App Store or Google Play.

Further information about what other measures will be implemented to ensure Covid-19 compliance will be provided closer to the event.
