Easter Cycle
Easter Cycle Burra
2-5 April, 2021
Our Easter Cycle is the ideal long weekend of relaxed fun for family and friends. From long day-trips chasing the horizon for committed roadies, to little loops for tackers on trainer-wheels – as well as our famous Night Ride – our Easter Cycle has plenty in the program to keep the entire mob occupied all long-weekend. There will be rides of varying distances sufficient to challenge roadies and the mountain bikers. Rides have also been planned for those looking for a more leisurely time out on their bikes, and, of course, the younger members of the group including the ever popular Easter Egg Hunt. Round up the family, get your mates together or just bring yourself along – it’s a great way to meet people and make new friends. You can ride as much or as little as you like – it’s your weekend to enjoy!
About Burra Easter Cycle
Burra, in the Mid-North region and 162km north of Adelaide, is the location for our 2021 Easter Cycle, (2 to 5 April).
The discovery of copper in 1845 led to the establishment of the Burra Burra or ‘Monster Mine’ which soon became one of the largest copper mines in Australia.
Our campsite will be at the Burra Community Sports Club, with a mix of rides, from a few kilometres to 100km heading out each day to various locations throughout this historic mining region. The Easter Egg hunt and Night Ride on Sunday are very popular with adults and children alike. There will be time to explore the region, steeped in history, quiet bike tracks and, of course, cafes and coffee shops, and time perhaps to watch the sun setting after another great day’s riding (walking, reading a book or relaxing).

TESTIMONIALS
We loved Easter Cycle. It was a great way to get away as a family. We didn't have to think about organising anything over the weekend, Bicycle SA did everything and the kids had a great time.
Well organised and such good value. It was a great way to meet new people to ride with!
