Right now 1 in 7 Australian children are growing up in disadvantaged homes. At school, these children don't have the support or the basics they need, like a school bag, complete uniform or school books to make the most of their education. As a result, they are often teased or left out by other students. Because they don?t fit in, they end up falling behind at school, or failing altogether. So we're aiming to raise $100,000 to help 175 disadvantaged primary school students around Adelaide with their education so they can keep up at school and break the cycle of disadvantage.
