Road Closure Information
Bike SA is delighted to announce that roads through the Adelaide Hills will be closed exclusively for the Mt Lofty Challenge as part of VeloAdelaide on 18 March 2012. In addition to approval by Dept Transport for closing the South Eastern Freeway between the Glen Osmand Rd and Crafers (8.30am to 10.00am), Adelaide Hills Council has voted in favour of the temporary closure of the following roads: - Mt Lofty Summit Rd, from Crafers to Mt Lofty and Greenhill Rd (8.45am to 11.00am)
- Woods Hill Rd and Stony Rise Rd, from Summertown to Ashton (9.00am to 12.15pm)
- Monomeith Rd, Marble Hill Rd and Montacute Rd, from Ashton to the bottom of Montacute Rd (9.15am to 1.30pm)
These closures are for a strictly limited period of time and you should choose your ride option carefully if you wish to avoid being on these roads when they re-open to regular traffic. This is particularly important if you are a slow rider and considering the 80km or 110km ride options. Click Here to view map of route with road closure details
